1985 USA Gibson '59 dot neck reissue ES 335
One owner 100% original and very near mint condition 1985 USA Gibson dot neck '59 reissue ES 335 in solid Ferrari Red! This color was available for only one year.
This had to be a special order as Gibson was making a strictly controlled number of these as per agreement with Ferrari International. Because of this Gibson considered it to be a custom order and and there was a considerable up charge.
This one has it all! Nice patina on nickel hardware looks very cool. Original Patent Applied For (PAF) stickers on pickup mounting rings! Grover tuners! Tim Shaw Humbuckers sound fantastic. Nothing better. Aged binding looks very cool. LOW LOW action with no buzzes. Great intonation like you would expect from a Gibson. This guitar plays GREAT! Chimes at the fifth fret as good as the 12th fret! Total joy to play. Top of the line guitar is a perfect example of a 335. Twenty four years old and almost an antique in near new condition. When I got this guitar it still had the original strings. The high e string was missing. I guess the owner broke a string and never got around to replacing it. The guitar has some pick scratches on the pick guard, but the rest of the guitar is just about flawless. Dickey Betts, Chuck Berry, Alvin Lee, Eric Clapton, Marty McFly all played one of these.

Notice on the first video the fantastic sound that the neck pickup gets. Perfect. Playing through a Marshall JTM-45 head and a 4X12" Celestion 100w cabinet with a little tube screamer. I also use a THD Hotplate to keep the volume down.
Original case looks like new too.
